Simple, Cost Effective Healthy Food Snacks
Snacks, in particular healthy food snacks, are underrated as an important part of our daily lives. They are just as important as eating meals. A snack is not just limited to chips, cakes, donuts, and cookies. Just like a snack that is considered healthy does not need be limited to rice cakes, and shots of wheat grass juice. There does not have to be anything special about these snacks. They can be obtained from your local grocery store, and can be consumed at home, in the office, or on the road. Just like some of the following:
• 1 peach• 1 pear • 1 apple • 1 orange • 1 kiwi • 1 banana • Handful of grapes • Handful of olives • A few ounces of yogurt with lower sugar content • Handful of roasted in-shell peanuts • Handful of raw almonds • A tablespoon of peanut butter(natural, with the oil separation) • Handful of walnuts • Handful of Pecans • 2-3 slices of Crispbread (sometimes called flatbread, or Krispbread) • A few ounces of dark chocolate (60% or higher cocoa, or cacao content) • Raw Vegetables such as bell peppers, carrots, cauliflower, cucumbers
None of these snacks require special preparation. These are just simply wholesome foods. They are very simple and chock full of vital nutrients. If you have a little more time and want to create some variety in your snacks, I will show you some simple recipes and
combinations of healthy food snacks.
Healthy food does not have to be boring. There are tastes, flavors, and variety for everyone. Once again this does not require you to go out and get fancy protein or health bars. Those have their place amongst healthy food snacks, and are a good way to maintain nutrition while on the go. They are not necessary though.
